When naming your digital and print images, plan to include “In the style of ________” in the title. Please use the following naming system for April digital files:
First, your club id number followed by an underline _
Second, your image title followed by in the style of
Third, the work your image emulates (the artist’s name)
For example:
12345_my image in the style of Rembrandt
Here is an updated list from Bobbie and Ray with a brief description of what that artist might mean to them:
- Dorothea Lange (posed, documentary)
- Richard Avedon (artistic and unconventional)
- Diane Arbus (portraits that are more than a portrait)
- Rembrandt (the master of light)
- Vivian Maier (self-portraits, one of the best ways to learn)
- Henri Cartier Bresson (the decisive moment being prepared)
- George Hurrell (Hollywood lighting)
- Ernst Haas (dramatic black and white)
- Dan Winters (pushing the envelope)
- Annie Liebovitz (well, it is just Annie)
- Erica Manning (studio lighting and costume)
- Lindsey Adler Photography (studio lighting)
- Glyn Dewis (WWII project, other unique photography portraits)
